Attack of the Paper Zombies !!! is a pretty simple real time strategy game with cute hand-drawn, top-down graphics. Take control of a group of marines, and fight of the spawning hordes of alien zombies!
Attack of the Paper Zombies !!! is split into three parts - tutorials, missions and random maps. While this isn't an extremely complex game, playing the tutorials will teach you good tactics and some essential special abilities.
Most parts of Attack of the Paper Zombies !!! have you fighting to control spawn points. Spawn points have a center that needs to be destroyed by clearing the spawning zombies enough so you can get through to it. You have three weapon types, namely rifle, sniper and flamethrower. You can also build turrets and lay mines, as well as launching chemical attacks and grenades. Once you've claimed all the spawn points in a level, you win.
Some of the special attacks take a while to learn properly and use in the heat of battle, and the scrolling method of moving the mouse to the edge of the screen sometimes results in accidental movement away from the action. The sound effects aren't amazing, but they do the job. Nevertheless, Attack of the Paper Zombies !!! is a fast paced game, and a lot of fun.
With good tutorials and cool graphics, Attack of the Paper Zombies !!! is an excellent indie real time strategy game.
